Refund and Returns Policy for The Union Bar and Grill

At The Union Bar and Grill, we strive to provide the best dining experience possible for our customers. We understand that issues may arise with orders, whether for dine-in, takeout, or delivery. This Return Policy outlines our approach to resolving problems with orders placed at our locations in McLean, Virginia, and Hyattsville, Maryland.

1. Dine-In Orders

For dine-in customers, we are committed to serving food that meets our high standards. If there is an issue with your meal while dining at one of our locations, please notify your server or manager immediately. We will gladly replace the item, make necessary adjustments, or offer a discount based on the situation. We aim to resolve any issue during your visit to ensure a satisfactory experience.

2. Takeout Orders

For takeout orders, if there is an issue with your food (e.g., incorrect items, missing items, or food quality concerns), please contact the location where you placed the order within 24 hours of pickup. We will work with you to resolve the issue by offering:

• A replacement of the incorrect or missing items, or
• A credit towards your next order if replacement is not possible.

Please note that we may request proof of the issue, such as photos of the food or the receipt.

3. Delivery Orders (Third-Party Services)

If you placed an order for delivery through a third-party service such as Grubhub, DoorDash, UberEats, or other similar platforms, please be aware that these companies are independent from The Union Bar and Grill.

• Order Issues: If you encounter issues such as incorrect or missing items or food quality concerns, you will need to contact the third-party delivery service directly. They are responsible for managing customer support, refunds, and adjustments for delivery-related issues.
• Delivery Delays: The Union Bar and Grill is not responsible for delivery delays, mishandling of orders, or other issues caused by third-party delivery drivers. Any concerns related to the delivery process (e.g., late deliveries, damaged items) should be directed to the third-party platform’s customer support.

However, if there is a clear issue with food quality or incorrect items due to an error on our part, we encourage you to reach out to us directly within 24 hours so we can address the problem. We will work with you and the third-party service to find a suitable resolution.

4. Refunds

Refunds are generally not offered for orders unless there is a significant issue with food quality or a mistake on our part. In such cases, we may offer one of the following options based on the situation:

• A replacement of the affected item(s),
• A credit for future purchases, or
• A partial refund, if applicable.

Refund requests should be made within 24 hours of receiving your order. Please provide your receipt and any relevant details about the issue.

5. Cancellations

• Dine-In Reservations: We kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or modify a reservation.
• Takeout and Delivery Orders: Orders may be canceled as long as the food has not been prepared. Once an order is in preparation, cancellations may not be possible.

6. Gift Cards

Gift cards purchased from The Union Bar and Grill are non-refundable. However, they are transferable and can be used at either of our locations in McLean, Virginia, or Hyattsville, Maryland.
